After washing and after practice it should be folded so that is does not become wrinkled. Respect and care should be shown to all things, fostering this attitude can start with your Gi.
Finally wash your Gi regularly. Remember the saying, “Aikido is not an offensive Art. You do not want to offend anyone with your Gi.
How to wear your Gi
First put on the pants, the loops or the knee patches go in the front. Tighten up the drawstrings and tie in the front. Next put on the jacket on, with the left lapel over the right. Next come the belt. If you do not know how to tie the belt please ask one of the senior students to help you out. They will be happy to help you, as they once had to ask for help.
